Network Information
Our servers are located in the FortressITX datacenter in Clifton,
NJ. FortressITX currently uses nLayer and Above.net as its backbone
providers, and is adding Level3 and Global Crossing in the near
future. FortressITX uses bgp4 routing to provide virtual 100% connectivity
uptime.
Our connections to Internet backbones are maintained
at redundant data centers located in NJ and NYC, connecting directly
to most of the major networks including Sprint, UUNET, Cable &
Wireless (formerly MCI), PSI, Global Center, Savvis, AOL, Exodus,
and many others. Our network infrastructure is maintained by our
Network Operations Center (NOC) in Parsippany, NJ, staffed by experienced
technicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With this combination
of superior network and service, we are able to provide a high quality
regional network on par with the national networks, while still
maintaining the advantages of a local company. The network currently
consists of 15 DS3 and OC3 lines.
Monitoring
The NAC staff is working around the clock to ensure that the network
is operating at optimum state. Staff members continually review
collected statistics to watch for traffic trends so that they can
react with the proper routing adjustments and bandwidth addition.
